Back at it. 10 Clones ready to go

I have been told that 6 of my clones are OG (Purchased from a dispensary, but who really knows these days?) and the other 4 are completely unknown and were acquired from another patient.

I haven't posted on this forum in a long time. I have been out of the marijuana growing hobby due to living situation constraints. Well I now live alone in an apartment and I can do whatever the hell I want. So I dragged out the old equipment, picked up some clones at the dispensary and I'm underway.

These were some of the best looking clones I had ever seen when I picked them up so I am excited. Unfortunately I came up on the clones before I was ready but had to jump at them so they sat for an extended period of time without getting into a real growing medium or getting proper watering.

I've actually had a rough start and made a few mistakes already (I told you it's been awhile).

My Trimeter hadn' t been caibrated in years so the ph was way off on their first couple of feedings, their PPM was WAY too high and they were already not looking so good after sitting without anywhere for their roots to go.

Well, It's basically taken me a week to get them back to a reasonable state and hopefully they will take off here over the next couple of days.

We're going to have a nice long journey together so sit back and enjoy the show.

My setup:
400w HPS Light
3x3 Tray
25 gallon resevoir
Tri-meter
Advance Nutrients - SensiGrow and SensiBloom
Carbon Filter w/ 6 in. fan (not using this yet, but it's ready to roll).

My setup is currently in my bathroom so that I don't have to deal with the light beaming out of my closet in my bedroom. I'm not taking guests during this vegetative period and hopefully this doesn't become a huge security risk.

When these ladies get switched over to 12/12 I'll move the setup into the closet in my bedroom and clear out the bathroom and set the lights to run during the day so that I can sleep during the lights off period.

About the plants:
All of them currently seem to have differing nutrient defeciencies/problems. A lot of this attributed to sitting out of a grow medium with no nutes and no water for an extended period of time. My first resevior somehow ended up at 260ppm so of course they ended up with nutrient burn and at that point I questioned all of my equipment, flushed the resevoir already and started clean after getting my meter fully calibrated.

All of the new growth is starting to look better and the plants look like they are starting to "turn the corner", but it remains to be seen. I started a couple of days ago with 50ppm water and I'm now up to 150ppm and they will receive this today. Watering once a day at this point as that's about how long it seems to dry the cubes out reasonably.

I'm hoping that next Saturday when I post pics again we'll all be looking at much nicer plants, but nonetheless enjoy.

oh, and of course I'm really happy to be back.

Not a whole lot of action so far. I'm having some problems already. As I believe I wrote earlier the plants were showing signs of nute burn early so I flushed the resevoir and started the nutrients all over again.

I started this time at 50ppm and moved up 50ppm each day, watering only once per day.

They seem to be making a nice recovery although they are showing Nitrogen Defeciency. As I've been slowly adding the nutess they seem to be getting better and the color seems to be returning to the plants. I also added this last time 50ppm of just AN Part A as it contains more nitrogen. Hopefully this is helpful and we are back on track.

I have a plant that's flowering (bubba kush) that looks amazing, but it was grown in a trashcan, all by itself under a single CFL. I didn't start it, it was donated by someone who couldn't continue to grow it.

I should start by saying that I haven't done anything with this plant. I BARELY remember to water it. Well it looked pretty good so I was putting it under the 400w light with the little ones during the day between watering cycles to soak up some of that bigger light.

Well, it was a good idea, but I had to have the light too high and the little ones started to stretch a lot. So I put it back in the trash can and topped the little ones to try to keep them shorter and bushier. I've never topped my plants before so I am interested in seeing how it works out.

I have gotten the PPM of my nutrient solution up to 550ppm and the plants seem much happier. All of the new growth has good color and is growing at a decent pace.

I lowered the light to about 8" off the tops of the plants as we are having some really cold days and so I can afford to do that.

The stretch is stopped, the nute burn is stopped, the nitrogen defeciency appears to be rectified and I'm back underway. I've lost about a week I would say and it's unfortunate, but life goes on and now these will too. I will post pics at the end of the week when hopefully things look better.

Today would be day 11 and things are looking up, but unfortunately some of the "twisting" has returned to the leaves.

Anyways, here's some pics. Shows how setup the light for side lighting also when the plants are flowering. I'm using half of it now, but it's really not very helpful in this stage. Just can't bring myself to turn it off when it's already sitting there.

Today is officially Two Weeks of veg:

I spoke with an old friend of mine and he tells me that he has a 400w light HPS that I can use for this grow. That's great news as with 10 plants I was going to flip to 12/12 today to flower under just one light, but now with 2 lights for flowering, well 3 really, I'm going to wait another week.

So when it gets here I'm going to have 2 400w HPS lights and I'm going to use my 6 bulb T5 light for side lighting throughout the process. I am expecting very good things now!!!!!

From here on out the pics will only come weekly.

Note: The yellow seen in the pictures is on older leaves and none of the growth has turned yellow since correcting the PH and getting the nutrients right.

I have received the 400w light from my friend. It is an HPS/MH capable light and currently I have the MH Bulb for it and so since I'm vegging and I was vegging with the HPS I decided to switch to the MH. They definitely stretch less witht he MH and stay more lush and bushy.

Anyway, things are looking good, just cruising along. Will be starting 12/12 coming this Sat.

Your ladies are pathetic. Ya might want to learn how to grow before you come over and bust my balls. Your stems are purple and they shouldn't be. Can you even guess why?

You don't know what you're talking about and I'm done with you. Please read the rules about posting in other people's grow logs. Problems already been corrected and I certainly don't need your help. You'd have a newbie change his nutrient plans because his stems are turning a tint of purple. Good work!

I would have actually said, a ph issue causing a lockout. Thats why they almost died. Nitrogen hungry, purple stems. All happens for a reason. Glad to see they bounced back pretty fast.
