first let's begin with a pic...
ok...so i have no plants growing (yet) seeing as the other ones all died, i re-thought my grow room setup, and changed it... so here i have 2 4" computer fans, 8 100 watt cfl's with half being the daylight and half being the soft white, and I've added some reflective material in the form of the emergency blankets for camping...(which only cost about $1.50 each and are about 6' x 3' and seem to reflect quite well).
i wanted to know if this was a decent set-up, seeing as i have no intention of changing the lighting from cfls, and if the ventilation was enough...though probably not, the way the fans are working is one to the right in the pic is an intake, and the other in the left side is the exhaust, the air flow is very good, and seems to cool the closet well, though it is still about 90 degrees F when the door is closed, i think it should be fine....
also i switched the soil mix from crappy miracle grow with pre-added nutes, to all organic potting soil, with some sand, worm castings, and gravel....(all of these ingredients were mixed from both research and guess work, so i don't have proof if it works...just prayers...
i have been contemplating if i should germinate the seeds with papertowels, as i had in the previous attempt...or if I should just place them in the soil, and hope...if anyone has any ideas as to what would make this lil science experiment into a great grow....or if it can grow at all....let me know...
