Fief days ago I received my flying duchmens "The Pure" seeds from attitude.

as i was growing only bagseeds i never saw any kind of decent strain seeds.

The seeds are surprising small! Is that ok? usually when i germenated seedling from seed it had kinda big first leaflets but these ones are DAMN small. Plus, i beleive cause of these small leaves it cant receive enough light and is streaching.

+ a little follow-up question: if i didnt grow anything for more than a year is it ok to use my old CFL's? or when they get old they dont produce light enough for growing?

i got a 10 pack from speedyseedz as a freebie, when my original order got raped by customs.
they were tiny seeds as well. 8/8 germed but i killed one when transplanting. so 7/8
right now there 9 days under lights... 11 days old. check my sig to see more of them.
im highly satisfied so far.

thanks. that really cheers me up. i see your seedlings streached as well.

at first i tought "the flying duchmen" packed some leftovers in my particular breeder pack :)

how about the CFL's? does old CFL's require replacement for decent grow? for me it looks like with time they got little bit darker but im not sure. should i buy new ones or CFL's doesnt go bad while they are working?

all discharge lamps will change there spectrum as time goes by.
cfl's are a type of discharge lamp.
most are good for 7-10k hours of growing, even if they actually last longer than that, and will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
with cfl's its a great idea to date code the lamps with a marker, so you know how old they are getting in terms of hours... if there on 90 days of 12/12, then youve burned for 1080 hours.

that seeds companies legit, its one of the originals.I made a couple crosses with his haleyscomet. There both looking good.

Ive had some seeds that almost look immature and still have them germ and grow without any problems. Its always nice to have a big fat striped seed that looks perfectly ideal, but dont give up on a seed untl you germ and plant and see what happens. Good example is I had a powerkush freebie that looked weak and started out amazingly slow for some reason, I mean it grew one set of leaves at about 2in then for 2wks didnt grow, I transplanted and put it under mh and it ended up being one of my best plants a couple months later. If there obviously immature or cracked then there useless, but it cant take over a week for a seed to sprout in some towels, even if I dont get a tap root i still always plant and give the plant a chance to grow. My method that works absolutely perfect, soak for 6-24hrs, put in between moist towels inside zipped up zip lock bag...trust me I know there are easier ways like just soaking and planting but Im on a good streak with the method. Im rambling, peace out
