no. simply put, they're going to be whatever you got, depending on how well it was grown and how well it came out despite good/bad growing you can then estimate how good the genetics are, but overall unless you're getting some kill shit, seeds are usually no good

Bag seed can either be some of the best smoke you've ever grown or it can be crappy, hermie bud. Bag seed is great for doing a trial run so you don't kill all your expensive seedbank seeds or if you can't afford good seedbank seeds. If you have the cash, go with the seedbank seeds. :bigjoint:

I'm on my third bagseed grow. I got a stash from a bag I bought back in early 2007. This time I started around 20. About 14 hatched. I ended up planting eight. Four of the eight were males. Two of the last four were early hermies. The last two have shot nanners and I've been picking them off like mad. But the little bud I snuck is great (I'm at seven weeks). Two weeks or maybe three to go. I'm counting on around three ozs of some very decent smoke.

I'd like to buy some seeds for next time. I've been checking out peakseedsbc.com, a Canadian exporter. But I'm pretty paranoid about it.

the story of chemdawg goes something like some guy bought an ounce of some kller at like a dead show.. it was super good and he arranged to buy a couple of more ounces from the same guy.. the second bad had 13 seeds in it.. dude germed like four of them, and it turned out to be one of the best strains ever.. one of the clones of this plant even went on to make new york city diesel after someone had a plant germ his whole grow or some crap like that..
a lot of people will put down bag seed.. but i have seen a lot of killer grows come from bag seed..
the one problem about bag seed is that you really don't know the plants characteristics before you start to grow it out.. for ex. you don't know if you have a ten foot sativa that is going to take 14 weeks to flower, or if you are going to get an indica that is going to be two feet tall and only take 7 weeks to finish.. bag seeds are a great way to get your feet wet on a first grow or two without the added pressure of killing some beans that you paid top dollar for..

Start with bag seed if you want to dick around. But sooner or later, your going to want to buy some good seeds. If you just shop around a bit, you can get a some good genetics for $25-$30 (10-pack of seeds). If you want the shit that wins awards, you'll have to spend $120-$180.

Auto-flowers are pretty good for the money and go for around $30. You just can't clone them. You can still let a male pollinate a female and get a bunch of seeds.

Since we're already in winter, if you're goal was to get growing right now you'll have to spend some money on lights, a timer, and all the misc shit you need for a proper indoor setup. But if it's still warm where your at, you can probably put an auto flower outside and still get a decent harvest.

Definately start with the bagseed and see what you get. It could be either hit or miss but the bottom line is you will be better prepared and experienced when you buy a genetically controlled strain. Your bagseed might just be some bad a$$ weed :hump:
When you do get finished with the bagseed, might I recommend ANY strain from Serious Seeds.

my first indoor grow was bagseed simply because with my hps, mh , timers and stuff like that i was completely out of funds but ever since ive been using supergirl (sorry to nirvana for my previous posts downgrading them it was in fact my germ process that was the problem) with that being said I have had good luck with my strain. super easy to clone gettin roots in around 10 days.I was nervous too so i used a prepaid creditcard and a friends address. its really nice to know what your growin and what that species of plant likes.
