Bagseed genetics question

I just found a seed in a bag of something called Malachi from CO, but I got to thinking...

If I find a seed, since it's got new genetic material, would it technically be a different strain than the original Malachi in which it was found? This was the only seed found in the ounce, so I'm wondering how this plant managed to to get pollinated so lightly, but I could us some help in figuring out the genetics.

sometimes a plants can do that, its like its last chance of trying to survive type thing. asexual production i think.
my homies feminized plants had one seed within five diff plants. all completely female. the seed didnt wouldent germinate tho.

Yup, has to be a hermie, unless a single grain of pollen fought against all odds and made it to a single pistil on your plant...

Not that it's bad, I got a hermie and grew it out, called it "JesusWeed". My heaviest producer for that run and some great deep smoke... And I abused that thing on accident, I thought it was going to die.

Hmm, is a hermie really useful in any way? And will this hermie have the same genetics of the plant it grew from or could it still possibly carry a different phenotype?

A hermie seed is almost 100% chance of being female. Any time you get feminized seeds, you are probably buying some product of selfing, which is another way to say hermie.

And they are identical to their mothers, so they will be the same genotype. Phenotype = genotype + environment

Definitely grow it out, you'll be happy. Watch it for hermie tendency in itself just to be safe, but you should be ok, especially if it was good weed
