Bagseed Outdoor grow (first big one)

So i have had a couple of small operations that have come out good.. my main problem has been the frost cutting my flowering periods short... but i decided what the hell, i started 120 bagseed..seeds... on the 28th of may, they where all under a 400wtt HPS for a week (24 hr light), untill they threw out there first set of real leaves... i have been feeding them nuets at full strenght this whole time, and never saw any signs of burn..


i moved them out into several different plots, around my site. Becuase my site is quite a hike/drive away i wasn't able to look over all of them as closely as i had wanted. i had them all seperated into 8 smaller sites, this way if one site wasn't good for whatever reason i would have 7 others to work with...

after some bug issues and rain issues i was left with 70 or so strong ladies (hopefully) that i transplanted into a larger site, and began to feed them again.

I am using fish fertilizer 5tbs per 2 gal. along with molasses (3tbs per 2 gal) every other feeding, along with a soluable nitrogen that i ad into the 2 gals. I get the water from my fishpond, and they seem to love the combination. i feel like i have been pumping them with nuets and they seem to love it, i had a mg def but quickly corrected it early in the grow.

I dug down about 2 ft. all along this site, and took out all the dirt, then used 4 bags of petemoss, 3 bags of organic top soil, 3 bags of potting soil, and 5 bags of the MG mosture lock. put all this dirt into trenches, and then put the original dirt back over it, capping all the shit i brought in, i spent a couple hundred on dirt alone, and am glad i did as they seem to be doing good, already they are bigger than anything ive gotten before.

I have no idea what my PH is and have never checked it, i threw some lime in with all this dirt so hopefully that will keep it in check.

i have a horrible slugg problem that im constantly batteling but i feel like finally i have gotten the upper hand, i have been using organic pesticide (excpet for one time when i used Seven and burned my leaves pretty good in the beggining) its been organic ever since.

So what do you guys think of the grow so far, i figure since i already have pics up, i might as well keep you updated on my progress.. Anyone have any ideas for me, anything to help me out would be awsome, also any guesses on dominance as far as indica sativa goes?

yeah man bagseed is fun i mean shit its free seeds... from my experience the bud i get is always better than what i start with... its cool to have the same gentics as the person before you... and make bomb weed. Don't get me wrong good gentics are deffinatly a plus.. but you can find those gentics in some bagseed aswell.

the only thing i hate is not knowing what your growing... i have a couple different stlyes of leaves, and no idea on strains. they should start to show there sex in the next couple weeks or so, according to the sunup sundown times for my area its getting closer and closer to 12/12

it also sucks that the tallest MJ plants you have are usually male, because well.. they are the tallest haha, hopefully i got some glamazon females here that would be a nice change... but killing males is fun too

its cool spastic...very nice grow you got goin on there...how old are they? I figured they'd show by now...

2 months or so? one month of which was all rain and no sun. ( they have only seen about 7 days that was actually nice the WHOLE day)

As far as sexing ive been looking at them with a magnifying glass for the past week and haven't seen anything yet pre-flower wise.

they are still in vegg and i couldn't be happier with the results so far.. some of them are getting some NICE stems going. right now they are around 5 feet tall, and haven't switch to flowering.. i have herd that the size doubles in flowering... so figuring 50% are male, thats 35 plants that are 10 feet or more.

im pretty happy.

i started mine around the same time just got my first female this morning .... but ya i know what u mean seeds are so go damn exspensive .. ive always got good bud off bag seed even from the grosiest lookn shit it turned out good... its the best to learn with ... i also got to different strains i got 2 heavy on the indica side and 9 more on the sativa side i cant wait to see the bud i get off it and yours to u can even make up your own cool name which is always fun to sit around and think of crazy names...

i got out to the site today, started looking closer for some pre-flowers so far ive checked 7 and 6 are showing female.. the other im not sure... but they are VERY early preflowers ,also im looking threw a 25X mag.. and they are still small on that.... im figuring im going to give them a couple days instead of checking the whole plot so i can actually distinguish the males from the females easier... im thinking i have atleast 10 more days untill there is even the ability to make pollen on the males so i should be good

You should just let em' all grow...collect a shit load of seeds for next year, then you can rogue out the males for some good ole' sensi!

I'd def be over joyed with that gorilla grow...Kudos!

funny thing is, these seeds came from a bag me and my buddy got, that is like an ounce of pure seeds all tiger stripped, so im going to get rid of this batch of males... and next year EXPAND

i think ill start off like 300 and get as many as i can and plant them after the last frost... and get some BEASTIES.. this site has already shown a lot of promis, and the conditions are ideal as far as light and water... there is also posin ivy thorns and mosquitos EVERYWHERE as a detterant which is nice. ill just have to work on the dirt for next year, maybe put a bunch of compost out there after this season to do its thing over the winter.

ya same here i dont wont no seeds ... i would rather get new ones next year .. but im thinking about doin a indoor autoflower grow this winter for seeds and do a huge autoflower gro next year outdoor as im absesed with these little buggers ....

i just got some auto-flower for the winter from attitude, but i got feminized so i can't really pollenate them with any of the pollen from this outdoor grow because they prob. wont get the auto trait

nah i don't think i would ever do a big operation inside a house, maybe like 3 plants at a time, i just feel shady having that much illegal stuff somewhere with my name attached to it... thats why i like outdoor grows the only name they could run is mother nature.

So a little update for those of you who care...

i went out to the site with one of those extended branch cutters (a long pole with a rope and a cutting head on the end) and opened up the canopy, if you look in the original pictures you can tell that some of the plot is MUCH larger than the rest, i finally figured out that past like 2:30 the small side of the plot gose into shade, so after a couple hours of cutting, i have duplicated the sunlight seen by the larger side of the plot... im very happy with the results, just wish i found out about it sooner... but usually i go out there before noon. OWELL live and learn, im hoping that the other side of the plot catches up

i looked again at the pre-flowers... for me it seems the opposite of the usual is occuring... by that i mean my biggest plants are all female im pretty excited about the turn out, ive noticed one male that is pretty large, but im still going to give it a couple days to show its really a male... i think im going to transplant this male back into a pot as it demonstraighted some really good growing charicteristics, aswell as node spacing... i will move it to my girls house (5 miles away) and let it develop there and grab some pollen sacks to knock up the lowrider#2xAK47 i got for the winter, hopefully she thorws some seeds out.

THIS way next season im going to extend the plot i have, and plant in the seeds from my pollenation, along with 20 kc mango, and some UFO dinafem seeds i got for free from attitude... and then have the rest be bagseed again... i know i know, bagseed.. but i mean its free seeds yah gotta pay the bills

im going to get some more pictures in a couple of days, including some close ups of my females, the growth has really exploded since i was there last, the first pictures i have the tallest lady was up to my chest, now they are perfect nose height so i dont have to bendover to smell the fuits of my labor

if i was u i wouldnt pollinate those lowriders if you do it could fuck up the genetics and not turn out to great. i personally grew the lowryder2 x ak47 inside and out of 4 fem seeds i only got about an oz so if u pollinate them ur not going to yeild as much and the potency will prob go down. but i do say it was some of the best smoke i ever had. but i will say very nice outdoor crop looks good.

im only going to knock up one bud site, not the whole thing...

really you only got an Oz off 4 plants... tell me about the grow, i was expecting alot more than juat 1/4 off each plant.

what lights, nutes, how long was the life cycle.. how where you watering, any problems in the grow? any info would really help.
