Ballast temperature

I have a 150w hps remote ballast that I assembled from the 20$ econolight. I'm noticing my ballast box gets quite hot after my light has been on for several hours.

I'm wondering if this is normal? I think i remember hearing that excessive ballast temperature will lead to it wearing out prematurely.

Can anyone reassure me that everything is going to be fine? I have my electrical components i.e., transformer, igniter, ballast inside of a metal 4" junction box
