Barney's Crimea Blue

Strain: Barney's Farm Crimea Blue Fem. ( blueberry x ukranian hash plant)
Growth: LST in under 300 + watts of cfl, mixed spectrum and wattage. Tent grow
Nutes: Fox Farm liquid trio, molasses, superthrive (for transplant). Roots Organic soil.
Yield: roughly 28 grams per plant, give or take a few.
Bag Appeal: 8 finishes off to a dark green bud frosted with bright orange hairs. giving a slight dark blue tint
Smell: in the jar: citrus like mixed with an herbal. Broken up: different, very full bold deep piney smell with citrus/ lemony aroma
Taste:8 alot like the broken up smell. Full bodied, not harsh. Inhale has a deep rich once again piney, hashy, sweet citrus fruit taste, the exhale is mostly a hashy syrupy taste. ( due to the molasses??)
The High:8 1/2 Two hits makes me nice, Three Kicks me right in the fucking head!!! Very heady. a sit down sort of smoke. not really active for me. Smoking before work leaves me confused, a bit wobbly, and very sleepy. The onset is very sativa like but after about 15 minutes you don't want to move. High lasts for HOURS.
I've seen this effect on other smokers after a few hits. Anyone that says it's not strong is full of shit.
Comments: I underfed these plants, so unfortunately, I think they're lacking and not grown to their full potential. Everything came out terrific still however ,I think i could've let them go longer for a more couch lock high. and I think they lacked smell due to the lack of nutes on my part.
But Crimea Blue cannot dissapoint. Props to Barney's for making great genetics. I'm still a novice grower but this ganja is fucking terrific and it shows on peoples faces when they smoke it.

you are correct sir! it could've gone longer. i cut one about the same maturity yesterday. I have another one i'm gonna let go for a bit. My reason for cutting early was due to underfeeding them. They were starting to yellow pretty bad spreading to the bud leaf so i cut, but of course i made sure those trichs were at least cloudy! My second one has different phenos for sure. This second plant has the same smell but more of a diesel aroma coming through
on a side note...... i recently read a review on crimea blue from someone who was touring coffee shops. It seems he had the same things to say about it. As it cures it turns into a sleeper... I have to make sure i don't smoke too much or i'll be downed out and red.

i can understand why they say medium... it's not quite the kind of smoke that after one hit makes you sweat, hack and get your eyes and mouth watering, but having said that. It's fucking phenomenal imo! everyone who i've seen smoke mine ( keep in mind i'm a novice grower), has looked like they popped a few valium afterwards.
I work a chronic smoker who burns at least 2 grams per joint of decent mids. she told me she didn't get a chance to smoke for since morning ( it was night) so i handed her a J of the crimea that i was smoking.
side note: this is the type of person who will never give credit when it comes to being baked off someone elses stuff.
long story short. she took a FEW hits. ten minutes later i caught her sitting down with glazed eyes and a smile. Of course she never admitted to being nice. i didn't ask either. But if a few hits work as well (if not better than) a few grams of mids a session. The shit is good. tasty and stoney, sticky as fuck.
I'm going a little over-board since i'm proud of the taste and strength. But it's no bull shit, run of the mill strain.
I haven't grown much but it's apparent these are strong genetics, with great resistance to stress. I underfed. Didn't use efficient light placement. I even screwed their light periods up a few times by accident.
but still got an average yield and great potentcy with litte/ no stress
I may have repeated and misspelled this post. I'm am high on the Crimea Blue. like i said it confuses you a bit.
GET IT! even if only for one seed. I'd love to see it grown properly! rep for paying attention.

Ya i find quality of high to be more important than intensity. I grew some CB about two years ago and the taste/smell was delicious! Lemony and very sweet! I've grown a few other strains from Barneys and the quality has always been top notch! I loved how the leaves stuck flat out like they were cut from construction paper. Nice grow man, enjoy your smoke!

Awesome fuckin job ataxia. I just started mine 12 days ago under the oklahoma sun. Seem to be quick starters. 100% germ for barneys farm. Being outside i hope my yeild is considerably larger but at any rate its great to hear my brain is in for a treat. Also just read that crimea blue won 2nd place in 2007 indica cup category of the Cannabis Cup. Good Stuff. I cant wait, but i guess i have too,lol.

I'm smoking the last bud of it right now as we speak ..I'm so sad.
I have a few clones that are about 2 weeks into flowering growing .. they are quick out of the gate!! you are gonna love the smoke. a perfect phrase for the stone is NARCOTIC...

I am starting to lean towards nitrogen deficiency. Gonna read more in a bit in the "hospital" to make sure. I finally found a local shop that carries fox farm products so this should get good. Take a look at my journal and your input would be great. If stoners cant help each other, then who will? Oh, and i have them now in partial shade in the afternoon due to possible heat stress. So damn hot here for this time of year. Will be close to 100 saturday.

I am a med user from northern california... and was very suprised at how much crimea blue resembled some grandaddy purple from the club as far as looks go.but the smell was nothing like gdp. it had a very strong blueberry aroma when you crack open a nug. the taste wasnt as strong as i had hoped for but this is completely UNCURED bud so with a long cure im positive the blue will shine through on the enhale dept. later on. This medicine sure does get you where you need to be and i smoke about 12 times a day (3-5 tokes per session) easily. Would recomend Barneys Farm crimea blue to anyone looking for some good medicine for anxiety on a budget as a pack only ran about $36 US dollars for 5 females(that were stress tested and force flowered outdoors) and was a med-good yielder of high quality dense stinky medicine.

like most others im sure, i swear by fox farm. i also use floranova, and advanced nutrients big bud. and clearex of course.

I have been thinking about growing this strain and have a question: I read that this strain can go straight into 12/12 after the first couple sets of leaves. Has anyone tried that? It would be nice for an inside summer grow to keep the heat and energy down. Could do a perpetual harvest with it too. I have had great luck with Barney's so I am sure it is a good strain and a great price.

yes i did flower a plant that had about 4 or 5 nodes ..... it didn't produce much. a nice healthy top. but that's about it. I would vegg for at least 4 weeks. or remove popcorn buds during flowering to bump up the weight on the main cola. It seems to produce better as a single cola.
