Basic Help With Curing

Ay whats good? i havent been on here in like 4 months, i was gonna do a grow journal but never had a chance, me and my homie started with 4 "The Kind" Kush seeds and 1 Deathrow OG, we only have three from the five plants left, i think one is the OG, but anyways we are getting ready to cut the plants, but we have no idea how to cure them, any suggestions would be great, i would look into it more on here but im about to leave to work and im going check this thread on my phone...so if yall could help a brother out that would be chill there are all over 6ft high in my homies closet, he has his med card so its all good

Cut and hang by the branch... let it hang in a cool place where the air is circulating but no fan directly blowing on the buds. After 3-10 days or so (depending on humidity and temp) the bud should have shrunk alot and the stems should just be able to snap when u bend them.. after this put your bud into a brown paper bag for 1 day... after that put in airtight jars in a dark cool place. Open once a day for a few minutes for the first week or 2 and then once your bud is dry enough to not mold just let it sit another week to 3 months....so it will be at least 3 weeks to smoke from harvest... but if you do smoke it it will not have even came close to its full flavor potential... rmemebr the longer u let it sit in the glass jars and cure the better your bud will come out... and YES it does make a big difference waiting an extra 2 weeks for that bud to cure better.. i wait 4-6 weeks personally.

I'd advise trimming before hanging...

I pretty much do the same thing, trim before hanging. If hanging is not an option and appearance is no issue you can lay them out in box lids(like the kind paper comes in), but you will get some flattening.
The wait is long and hard, but like all good things so worth the trouble.

DRY-Cut the colas off and hang upside down in a dark, cool place. When the stem snaps cleanly (probably 2 weeks) they're dry but NOT cured. You'll notice once they start drying they seem to take on the cut grass smell. Don't worry....as they cure the cut grass smell will go away and the bud smell will return.

CURE-To cure them put the dried colas in a paper bag and keep it in that dark closet. Open the bag once a day and get some fresh air inside the bag. You could cure for months but the weed ought to be OK in a month or so.

FAST CURE- If you want to rush things with 1 or 2 colas so you can smoke sooner try water curing. Submerge the whole cola (right off the plant) in a big container of water so that the cola is completely covered. Keep it in a cool dark place and change the water EVERY DAY FOR 7 DAYS. After the 7th day you can take the cola out and let it dry out overnight (or use a food dehydrator from Walmart $50.00). The bud smell is gone and the cola looks a little brown but the weed is good and you don't need to wait 6 weeks.

Do not cure in a PAPER bag for more than a day or two. The paper bag is only for a day then you use airtight glass jars.. if you cure for a month in a paper bag your gonna have some crispy dry ass nug

what about hanging ur roots in a pale of water in the dark for 48 hours before u snip em off..(mock the fall time)....helps suck out almost all of the chlorophyl .
