Hey everyone! Just wondering specifically what I need to get this bulb up and running. A friend of mine gifted it to me and I have absolutely no idea what kind of fixture I need lol. Any help or input is greatly appreciated and thank you everyone !

what hondagrower said. must be a good friens, cause that is a high price bulb. it's more what i don't see that has me bothered. i can't find if it is 110 ac or 220 ac. does it have it's own ballast? cause it looks thin at the base. color heat? just not a lot of info on this bulb. maybe there is a number on the box, i think i would call and see before i did anything else.

There are mogul adapters that allow you to run that light in a normal socket. They're cheap.

As giggywatts noted- He must be a good friend, that's a $140+ lamp!
Unfortunately, it does not have it's own ballast. It would require a mogul base fixture with a ballast rating of 65 or more watts. That fixture could be 120v or 240v, doesn't matter- as far as the lamp goes. Voltage required is determined by the ballast requirements/options.
Check Hydrofarm. Pretty sure you can get a fixture there, and they also have hi-wattage cfl's that are very similar, that are equipped with the integral ballast. "Plug-n-play", if you will. Plus, there is a small selection of color temp ranges that may be more suited for your application. Hydrofarm is usually where I start looking for/at specific items, then go to Amazon, Ebay, and other distributors to shop for the best price.
