I've been ordering from this etailer for several years, so one bad product might not warrant boycotting; but how the problem was handled gives me an appreciation and preference for local stores and real people.
I ordered a float valve and a damper. The damper arrived incomplete, and BGH is doing EVERYTHING to avoid having to return the item or compensate me for an incomplete product. The float valve sells for $60 but the manufacturer sells it for $30. I asked for a price match- was denied - and the item which was contingent on price matching was shipped regardless of my instructions. I'm fine if they have to protect their bottom "profit" line, but I don't appreciate the subterfuge and forced sales.
I won't lament the issue, but be careful ordering online - etailers are growing less empathetic to customers and everyone is suspicious of your when your buying gardening supplies.
Maybe I just needed to vent, but *I* am boycotting BGH in support of my local economy.
