Been awhile - One plant 2x2 Quickie - HSC Jelly Rancher / Hella Jelly

How’s it RIU community, it’s been a couple years and decided to get back into home growing . :weed:
-Single plant in a 2x2x6 , vegging (seedling) currently w/ 2 led strips at 30-35w. Strips max out at the same wattage per strip so I can use this janky rig for awhile. For later in the run I made a 22”x22” light utilizing Samsung 2x row strips and some reds & uva / b. Can go up to 200w but doubt I’ll need that much.
- Humboldt Seed Company - fem seed ~Jelly Rancher aka hella jelly . Seeds are directly from hsc (few years old) and were still pkg as Jelly Rancher so I’m hoping she‘s a nice pheno . I already grew 2 (has journal) that turned out nice , hoping I can manipulate the terps a bit to more of the lime/pine . Just topped a day or two ago. Week 3ish update : transplanted into 1g , first feeding ( manganese & base a) , another topping round coming in the next couple days. I’m using amended soil from my garden and figured it was hot enough to go w/o feeding , turns out California water is still shit with no magnesium (yellowing between veins) . Hopefully she bounces back quickly… Swapped out lights , now running at 75w around 14-18” , middle bar is for late veg / flower 660/720nm . Others are 3 & 3.5k Samsungs / meanwell drivers . 70-80* / 60-70% h :bigjoint:IMG_9139.jpegIMG_9145.jpeg
 
Ended up transplanting again into 3g to get some trusted soil , shouldn’t have used soil from the garden . Fed some extra cal-mag and she seems to be doing better. Also did another round of topping / lst , might do one more round before flipping but not quite sure yet.
lights still at 75w , no reds yet. Rigging up some under canopy bars for flower.

Thats looking great, this is going to be a good run.
 
Nice to have riu back up online …. Switched to flower about 10-14 days ago and colas are starting to form. Added a scrog net before the flip and another about 5” above just a couple days ago. The reds are now on the last 2hrs of the cycle , increased the whites wattage to 100w and also added two 3k vertical bars for the under canopy @25w each. First time trying this so hopefully it actually adds some weight. Everything has been chill w/ HSC seeds yet again :clap:

:bigjoint:Staggered the (2) bars to fit more horizontal and utilize more light . It’s a bitch trying to move the back bar and also trying to fit these (24”) . Anyone that may be following and is going to try side/under conopy , set all this shizzz up before the plant gets too big. Dumb move on my end waiting… I used alum U bars from local hardware store and these are virtually room temp to the touch (25w each bar) so the fire hazard that was going off in my head is now at rest. Last fed 750-800 ppm @ 6.4ish . Lights are at 105w (top) , 50w sides , 25w reds (660/730) only last 2 hours of the cycle for now. Canopy is about 10”-12” from top light. I’ve also got some uva/b for later on , stem rubs are smelling more peppery than fruity and I’m down with that. Anyone has any suggestions let me know :peace:

Week 3 ish 21-25 days
Colas are now creeping up to 8-10” from the light. No signs of burn so I’m letting it ride for now. Watts are still 105 from above and w/ reds & side canopy bars it’s at 155w . Need to check par / increase top bar(s) wattage soon. About to hit her w/ the first high ppm bloom feed tonight … stem rubs are peppery , no real skunky / candy smell yet. cheers bongsmilieIMG_9717.jpegIMG_9687.jpegIMG_9720.jpeg
 
Week 5-6
Adding UVB (20w) starting tonight @ 1-2 hours per cycle during “noon” ,top of tent about 24” from canopy.
660/720 ‘s have been on for the last couple weeks w/ whites full 12hr.IMG_0281.jpeg

Noticed fan leaves fading before I started uvb , week six normal fade or something else? PH has remained 6.3 ~ 6.6 the entire grow , last water was just PH’d dechlorinated tap w/ 4-5 ml of molasses . Also raised the lights about 2” last night. Hoping she’s just eating herself in late flower and not something bigger. Noticed the colas closer to the reds (light) are turning more purple/pink … updates soonIMG_0286.jpeg

Flower day 40-45 , this pheno is definitely more purple than the last run and seems to be progressing faster in flower. Possible it’s just the environment since it’s a smaller tent and a different light spectrum / set up…Temps and PAR about the same , low temp is 70-75* so I don’t think that’s the cause of the purp. What are you feeding?

Every pheno is unique but this fading seems a bit early if you haven't changed/forced it.

Flora Bloom from Gen hydroponics and some CalMag , also add some veg / base A usually every other water. The one thing I did try that was new for me was Molasses… Not sure if that would have f’d the soil ph or what but that’s what the fan leaves originally looked like was some sort of ph prob. Buds seem fine and no mold/mildew I can see so I’m letting her do her thing for now. Prob will flush next water and get a reading
