Bending/LST Effects

how often will i have to re-tighten the strings or adjust the strings after LST?
I have adjusted maybe 2 times since the original bending was done..I am just wondering if i can leave the strings where they are for the rest of my grow, especially during flowering?

they will strangle the branch eventually if you have them reasonably secure. I change my string if need be, usually the plant stays put after 2 or 3 weeks of 90degrees.

so should i remove them after 3 weeks then?

untie the string and you will know if the plant is permanently 'elbowed'. If it stays put then no strings are needed.
