Best atmospheric controller?

What's everybody use and how do you like it? I am looking at the sentinel chhc-4. It looks like it will do everything I need, or will need. I've seen it for $560 with free shipping. Is there anything that functions just as well for cheaper or should I just take the plunge since I plan on using all the features eventually?

lights, a fan and a filter ...if you use them right and get them set up right ...i don't see any need for controllers ...Anything they can do you can do .

Save your cash :)

I can't measure ppm on a continuous basis and turn on/off a generator to maintain that ppm level. I also can't apparently keep a stable temperature when the temperature is changing from low 40's some nights to mid 70's some days. I suppose I could stand there with a thermometer and plug/unplug as necessary, but I feel a controller will be less hassle and do a better job.

I recently purchased that model for around the same price. I like its feature set, the detachable probe seems calibrated, and there is a lot of functionality. I don't think you will be disappointed.

what sucks is that i'm setting up another grow room in the same basement and wish there was a setup where you could control two separate rooms with one controller but using two probes.

I guess if you're going to use all the features and have the money to spend, then go for it. I use a thermostatic outlet on my vent fan in colder temps, cost $50 at ace hardware.

It looks like lots of options for temp and humidity for cheap, but once I get a separate controller for co2 that actually measures in ppm (the most expensive controller) im not saving any money by piecing it together. I am almost positive im going to do co2 enrichment eventually. I am getting around 1 lb out of a 4x4 tent with 1000 watt hps using miracle grow soil and botanicare pro bloom soil blend. It's getting hot though, and I think co2 enrichment will be worth the money to operate at higher temps.

that was my thought... you can piece it together for cheaper, but once you go c02, it is cheaper to go all in one.
