Whatsup everybody, my first thread and need some opinions. Btw I think this is one of the few growing sites where ppl actually take this seriously. BUT which curing method yields the best results? I did a lil research on water curing and thats looks probable. but from your experiences, what would you reccomend? :dunce:

I've never heard of water curing but being a somewhat new indoor grower who knows. I hang my buds for 5-6 days in 70f room with the RH right around 35% then put all the buds in a black garbage bag and in the dark for 24-36 hours to pull moisture from the stems. Then back up hanging for another 24-48 hours. It always makes for a nice smooth smoke.

well it depends on what you want... Water curing will take ALL chemmy taste out of your bud. It also gives your bud a higher THC content by weight, because it removes some weight without removing trichomes. However, the bag appeal isn't as high with water curing because it removes some weight and can give your buds a slight brownish grey tint. Jar curing doesn't remove much weight and usually gives a better bag appeal.

In short, water cure your personal stash, and jar cure what you "get rid of for a profit".

Yeah I use the jar method sometimes as well mainly for my indoor grows and have noticed it has better bag appeal and pretty much the same smoke just looked different.

cool, so I guess majority of you fellow "farmers" use the jar method.
thanks for the replies, really appreciate the support

I tried water curing and although it retains the high it taste like dog shit heated up. I dont know bout you but I only smoke dog shit when nothin else is around.Stick with the old fashion air dry. Weed is a lil like wine and as Orsen Wells used to say " I drink no wine before its time ."
