We're all pot smokers and we try to push that the world would be a better place if the average Joe smoked pot like us, so NO ARGUING!!!!

I'm a beginner grower, my 2nd batch of little veggies are growing like crazy

I'm using
Plant Prod 10-53-10 starter/transplant nutes
Plant Prod 20-20-20 All-Purpose for veg
Plant Prod 15-30-15 + Molasses to add more Potassium than nitrogen to the mix for flowering.

I don't have a pH meter but my common sense tells me that a 50/50 mix of tap and rainwater = 6.0-6.5 area.

I use straight tap water for nute mixes since nutes are acidic, mixing nutes with rainwater would just make it dangerously acidic for the kiddies. Never experienced nute burn just chlorine tip burn lol.

THIS WILL CATCH YOUR EYE. :weed:
Besides all that bullshit I'm looking to upgrade my nute package once my 3 flowering babes are done, I've checked out GH, FoxFarm, AN(alotta haters there, price/quality ratio), Canna and a few others...

which is the best price/quality? please only speak if you've used one or two of them...more than 1 is better for comparisons :) thx

Jack's Classic

and common sense has nothing to do with ph if your serious about growing you need a way to check it

Bloom food will lower your PH, veg food will NOT lower it. Im willing to bet your ph is way too high in veg. Buy a ph tester kit for aquariums, under $20.

i think General Hydroponics 3-Part and the Flora Nova Grow & Bloom are cheap for the quality!! the only other thing you would need is some Cal-Mag or Magical to use along with the other nutrients. Bio-Bizz is a bit more pricey but i think they are a very good line of nutrients. i use there Grow, Bloom, Fish Mix, and Alg-A-Mic along with the Cal-Mag or Magical

The GH 3 part is brilliant. I'm testing DynaGro this month which is a little cheaper as a nute line and more compete, might even do a journal to compare the two.

I have done the GH basic 3 part and you can't go wrong with that stuff for the price. I have also used the FloraNova line with Floralicious Plus (a slightly more pricey setup) but it worked really well also and I like that you don't go through it as fast. Either way the GH Koolbloom powder is one of the best ways to help plants finish and its fairly cheap too. Anything GH is gonna grow plants just fine for a decent price. Other brands I have used are Humboldt Nutrients Organic Grow/Bloom (not Humboldt Counties Own), B'Cuzz Growth-C/Bloom-C by Atami, 3D Organics "OG" line and Age Old Organics Grow/Bloom (which im currently using for my outdoor grow). I would recommend any of these they are all good nutrients and not just because they're cheap :)

Keep in mind I have only ever grown in soil, and mostly outdoors. If you're a hydro grower, im not the guy to talk to :) Anyway good luck I hope whichever brand you choose that it works out for ya man peace!

I'm surprised no one mentioned Fox Farms Grow Big (3-2-6) and Fox Farms Tiger Bloom (2-8-4).
yea FF does have a great line of bottled nutes. they also have some nice pre-mixes all organic good for vegging all threw veg using plain water then for flower i use soiless mix with bottled nutes. i have used the Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom i liked them but found that GH products are easy to use and work wonders if you have your grow dialed in.

Fox farm is great organic feed but it can be a little pricey. Someone else mentioned Jack's Classic, I've used it and like it.

You must be from ontario . That stuff works good. Plant prod also makes a 10-52-10 fert for flowering. Thats what Ive been using too. Now I am using Wilson's Fish emulsion with Monster Bloom on one crop and Plant prod 10-35-10 and Monster Bloom on the other. I paid 14.99 where I live for 130gram container. Really concentrated shit too. The fish emulsion is about 7.99 .I got them at the local garden and feed shop.

I used to talk up advanced as they have the best FORMULATED products, however they are super expensive and lack quality customer service. I'm now using the entire GH flora series which cost me around $20/quart of each product. GH works great and they have a well designed website that should answer most of your questions. Haven't had to use the customer service yet, but I've heard they provide good service, and they should since they've been around for a while.
