Best ways to make co2

SO wwhats the best way to pump co2? will the do it urself verison in the FAO really do that good of a job?

With a fan.

ask anyone who uses co2 in a sealed room with a controlled environment with all the bells and whistles. can you "brew" the equivalent and reap the benefits of a tanked co2 grow? the answer should be a resounding, "NO!"

man I love the old fashion tank set up with a basic recycle timer.. has worked fine for me for many years

so does it cost alot to use co2 like electircity wise?

I brew my own co2 and have been doing verry well with my set up I use two 55 gal drums and I put 60 pounds suger 40 pounds corn meal and 40 gal hot water in with 1 pounds of brewers yeast 1 drum full will last 1 week and then i do the same thing with the other drum while the second drum is working off ( making c02 ) I run the other one through my still and get some good ol moonshine ..works for me !!

if heat is not a problem for you. a small hurricane lamp w/ rubbing alchohol works.
I found a formula in a growbook yrs ago to determine how much you need. dont remember the formula but for a 4x4x7 box,1 oz burned over 10 hrs was enough to bring CO levels over 1200 ppm.being my box was not airtight & still had a small exhaust fan running,I used 2 oz of fuel- never metered it to confirm actual levels but it helped alot.
