So I know way 2 many Growers and all have them have the same cloning routine for the most part. Ive been Cloning for years and ive found the Best Clones are the Largest Clones. Instead of taking a few inches of new growth take a whole 3 foot side branch. Yes this is much harder todo without an aeroponic cloner but has been done. The Trick is to keep the Clone in Ideal Conditions. Large Cloning Like this creates more ideal Budding plants.
You start with a larger stem for wieght support, More Tops And Less veg time b4 Budding!!!!
Here is the process Beginning to end.
Find your largest healthiest branch and cut it. So first remove bottom few inches of side leaves. do exacto knife 45 degree cut on bottom of stem. Exacto a side flesh wound bout 2 inches long from bottom of stem by scraping the exacto along the stem removing the top layer of plant tissue or (Bark).
Remove all Large floppy Fan Leaves. If new growth still seems a bit large cut the leave tips off so the leaf resembles a fingerless Hand.
Once done place Clone in aeroponic Cloner with rooting hormones or place in other media with proper Rooting Hormones(Gel over Powder).
Root temp= 65- 70
Room Temp= 70- 75.
Humidity= 50+%
If Possible Quicker Growth will be achieved with Higher Humidity.
Also for optimum Root growth if root temp can be raised to steady approx 78-81 degrees and the room Temp 7-10 Degrees cooler then that. yes root temp warmer then room temp only if temps can be held fairly steady @ correct temp. This Makes For Root Growth within 3-5 days with certain strains.
Make sure you keep the media Well Hydrated without oversaturation! Aeroponic Cloning Is Ideal!
