Can too many nutrients during the bloom phase cause black ash from the end product? And yes it is dry sitting at 59 percent humidity inside the jar. My only thought was (and I know all the controversy) was I flushed for a week and did not see any fade...but this harvest does not taste well and black ash and won't stay lit.

I smoke weed from a talented grower. My ash tends toward black. I think the whole white ash thing was a troll.
 
I dont understand what I'm doing wrong I've dried for 14 days, I've burped the jars, been monitoring my humidity, still taste like shit and black ash like crazy. I've tried different strains and still the same weird taste. I've let them go until ripe before I harvest as well. I dont know what to do.
 
14 days is way too long for dry time, I usually dry for 5-7 days before curing.

Black ash does not mean anything.

If you are giving chemical fertilizer that is most likely why the bud doesn't taste/smell good.

Go organic :weed:
 
I'd check your hygrometer.
If it won't stay lit, then your buds are not 59% humidity.
How long do you let them stay in the jars before you check the humidity?

Roll it as loose as a cigarette and try again. It's not from nutes.
