Pls be gentle. I've never grown before, I'm likely doing every noob mistake in the book but I'm worried my girls aren't growing as well as they should be.

5 gal buckets, and approx 14 inches high. I haven't done anything more than LED light, nutes (Fox Farm trio) and h20 on twice weekly, while they LOOK happy, shouldn't they be...bigger, bushier, or am I just needing to chill?
Just clueless out here and trying not to screw it up.

I'm thinking you may be right about the lighting. Just like an ijit I jumped on the project before I should have..:( Temp is a steady 75 but I'm thinking it may be the sad little LED light I have. Yup, cheap. Getting ready to get a better one but all I had on hand.
 
They are small, but sometimes some strains just grow slower then others, what size of light do you have, you mention 14 inches distance.

14 inch height on the 1 girl, but only 12 inch height on the other. I'm so embarrassed to post this light but if everyone gets a goggle, atleast I made your day :) This is what I'm using. Height away from plants is approx 1 1/2 feet away.

-check out this thread (new posts) there's LED's posted frequently and some are a steal. It looks like even a 50w qb would work for your size of grow area .most posted are 100w and I'd at least look into that :joint:

Nice, you should see improvements (especially with node spacing) get your veg on! :bigjoint: Hate to say it , but you may need more wattage for flowering . What's the total got now?
 
Heh...400 total. I'm betting some of you guys out there are gonna get a laugh a day from me right now. Happy to help ya ;)
So from my reading I know I need to go up. But until I can either win the lottery, find out that a large inheritance from an unknown relative has hit the bank or sell my cannabis infused blood (whadda ride!) I'm stuck working with 3 panels of lower wattage. I told my girls the same thing. They sighed.
