Blue vs Full Spectrum for Veg

Hi all. Been running from seed to harvest under full spectrum LED for a while now, but I've been finding that since I switched to DWC most of my plants are outgrowing my space.

In an effort to control this I've moved back to blue CFL for veg (only) this time, partly because I know my LED lamp has a lot of red and near IR diodes, which I've read can encourage stretch.

I've been of the opinion that full spectrum is great for flower for a while now, and there's plenty out there on the net to support that, but I'm struggling to find anything on the effect during veg. Am I likely to harm my output running like this? Any other light related tips for height control?

Yeah. Flip sooner. Learn to top and either supercrop or do LST in addition to the topping.
Ha cheers. Tried autos, topping, manifolding, supercropping, scrog, endless LST... nothing can contain these things. Good advice though!

What’s the benefit of keeping them short and shrubby? To hopefully limit stretch right? Flip sooner. Or run 12/12 from seed. But we try to emulate nature and full spectrum is one way we try. Just my opinion.
