I barely got my plants started before the summer solstice and now the days are getting shorter. I fear I have started to late for an outdoor grow. I have done the research and in my area I have until the end of august until the days get down to a little more then 12 hours of light. My plants are only about 5 inches in height and the leafs only about an inch, just babies starting to take off.

I want some advice on keeping them outside all day to soak up the sun and then bringing them inside and putting them under my 400watt MH for maximum growth while they are vegging.

Should I stick to a plan along the lines of:
•16 hours outside — 4 hours under the lights the first 2 weeks
•14 hours outside — 6 hours under the lights the next 2 weeks
•12 hours outside — 8 hours under the lights the next 2 weeks

Has anyone done this? Are there any warnings anyone has? This is my first grow, So I am getting in over my head. LMAO I'm probably going to end up with hermaphrodites.

Well if they go in the ground they won't be getting 100% of the sun and after pruning I think their maximum potential would be maybe 2 feet fully flowered if I was lucky. Thats why I wanted to get the light involved.

But am I wrong? Do I have plenty of time for a healthy outdoor operation?
