This is what I bought...http://cgi.ebay.com/6-CARBON-FAN-FILTER-COMBO-inch-air-66-75-100-CAN-HUGE_W0QQitemZ120638832931QQcategoryZ43555QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp5197.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5681129307449699571
My room is about 1000 cubic feet[12'x12'x7'] and well sealed. The fan is sealed well to the filter drawing plenty negative pressure. It's been running for about 12 hours now and still smell my room from up stairs. I have 6 sleestack at day 59 and another 9 at day 22, about 48 square feet of canopy. The filter is recirculating in the room, and I have a ozone gen[corona spark] at the intake outside of the room, and a cap uv ozone on the exhaust. What else am I suppose to do from here? Do I just need to give it a little more time?

That filter/fan combo is WAY too small for that room. 15 plants is not filling up the whole 12x12 so theres lots of wasted space you have to scrub. I would give it a little more time though. Might take more than an hour to scrub the smell of 15 plants

From what I've read you want it to turn the air 20-30 times an hour the fan is 424cfm so that makes for 25 an hour. Am I completely mistaken to think that this was going to be enough? Forgot to mention I'm running air cooled hoods. That was 12 hours, my bad. I can't fit to much more in there really, 2 tables both with 24sq. ft. canopies. I hope I don't need another filter.

You should take some ducting and connect your corona to the filter and let the air the fan sucks in through the filter then blow directly into your corona ( sit the corona outside of the room) run another 5 to 8 feet of ducting from the corona so the O3 air and the filter air can mix. that should clear it up, if not grab a bigger filter or get a dark room grow tent

I have a friend that has a room approx your size and his carbon filter is about 6ft tall and 3ft around ITS MASSIVE like a refrigerator lol. My Carbon filter for my 8x8x7 room is like 4feet tall and 2.5ft around and weighs like 100lbs lol. Im only 5 weeks into flowering but so far its having no issues containing the smell.

Yunggrower had good idea you need move the Ozone gen corona spark to the other end of the system and see if it covers it better.

Best of Luck

I actually built, a muffler box if you will, at the end of the ducting. It's 4'x4'x1' with baffling and a C.A.P. uv ozone generator and the corona spark inside. Just moved the corona to the intake to pull it through the ducting and then blow over the uv on the way out. My reasoning behind this was that I can notice very small , yet very numerous perforation in the flexible ducting. I dp plan on replacing the duct in the near future. The carbon filter is not in-line, but recirculating in my flower room.

Are you sure there are no leaks in the ducting for your air cooled hoods? I noticed after awhile lots of tiny pinholes in the ducting for my air cooled hood so some smell was leaking into the room because the hood exhaust was sucking it out through the tiny holes.

i know the smell fear all to well working with the ecsd. i have a 3.5x5.5x6 cab in a 10x12 room and was just running and 6" can filter and an 8" scrubber. i could smell diesel from 50-60 from my exhuast outside, very worried. i ended up running a 10" mountian air filter (in place of the 6" can) for my exhaust and kept running the same 8" scrubber in the box itself. well, it still stunk like deez from time to time. added 2 ona blocks to my ducts, a ona mister in the room, and a vapor tec air nuetralizer in the basement. cant smell a thing unless i break out a jar or were smoking. ona and vapor tec worked for me, but i'm still also adding an inline ozone gen for peace of mind. can never have to much scent control with the stinky girls.

Jdizzle I thought I mentioned that. I suspected this some time ago. Last night I moved a corona spark ozone generator just over my intake and I have a C.A.P. uv ozone generator in my exhaust box with 3 baffles to mix it up before it's exhausted. Things are a lot better today. I was told today that the fan is to big for that filter and to dial it down. It still smells in the room, but out side it isn't noticeable. Just 24hrs ago it would punch you in your face on the way to it, from the room a floor above. Humidity is 55% not sure if that was a little for the filter, but I feel like I can relax a little better tonight.
