Alright guys. Started my first grow, ever! Included is everything below including nutes, and links. Took me awhile to put everything together, but finally have it happening. I hope this first grow goes well as it is basically a test batch, and will hopefully be doubling my growing area every to every other harvest.
Details:
* x5 Feminised BlackJack Seeds from Nirvana BlackJack Seeds
* 3 Shelved (Now only 1) Espresso Colored Stealth Cabinet from Target $30 ClosetMaid 2-Door Shelved Unit
* DiY Carbon Filter The BEST DIY EZ walmart carbon filter for MICRO grows Zen style. Thanks Wolfman Zen
* 4 Outlets, All but one have the dual adapters (need replacing on 1, broke)
* x8 23w 6500k Daylight CFL's
* Inline and outline 120mm PC Fans wired each from dirt cheap cell phone chargers
* Light outlets wired and mounted on raisable shelf, through top of cabinet, back to a power strip which is on a timer. Fans on own strip and on 24/7 for now.
* I kinda hunted around and guessed on nutes. I'm not sure if these will do the trick, but I'm sure they will...Lemme know what you think Fox Farms Triple Threat Package
* Miracle Grow all natural and non fertizlied organic soil mixed myself with perlite.
* All seeds in red party cups, possibly for whole grow, unless they get pot pound, we will see. I bought pots, but they are slightly to large to fit 5 in the cab. Oops.
* To combat some light leaks around doors as they weren't sealed tightly, its just a cheap cabinet, I bought some weather stripping. Put on sides and on top. Slight leak on the bottom of the doors, but am not to worried about it.
* Also have a sliding door lock on the outside of the box just to keep it tightly closed.
Unfortunately at this time I do not have a camera to show you guys pictures, I wish I did. I may try to pick up a cheapo one on payday this Friday.
I started Germination via paper towels between two plates, placed by the heater the night of the 21st. Two days by and I have 3 of 5 sprouted with root down in soil. I hope I can get at least 1 more germ'd if not all 5. I may spring for Nirv's Germ kit next time, may do a lil digging on it first.
I have the lights on at 6am to 10pm, Thats 16 hours light, 8 dark. Is this to much or to little? I planned on two months of veg, it all depends on the grow of the lil suckers. Box can't handle 5 mungo plants, dang it.
Also have a temp gauge inside the box, its usually between 72 F and 80 F. Depending on outside weather as its by a window for fresh air.
I plan on FiM'n once I get the chance. A little worried about it, not 100% sure on it. Searched and there are 9 gajillion posts about it. Get there when i get there.
