Breeding questions.. autoflower or hermie..

A while back, I had a Citral plant that got seeded. It may have been exposed to Auto White Russian pollen.. there was a full-on breeder male in another room. So.. either it went hermie or it was seeded via AWR. To the questions..

1. Is the auto trait dominant? If so, I can just pop 20 seeds, see if any auto and dump them (or keep ant try for the heck of it)? I'd think that any that didn't auto, I could cull the males and still have decent genes.

2. If none auto, is it safe to assume my seeds were hermie and will likely hermie themselves? If that's the case, I ought to dump them (no biggy).

Thanks, in advance. Just trying to figure out a strategy so no long-term pollen headaches.

well I don't know if the auto traight is dominant or not but if you think about it most of the autos now are like lowriderxdeisel lowrider xbb etc etc. IDK if they cross it back to the autos but maybe they would be autos.

Since you didn't see any hermie flowers, I would assume that you didn't have a full blown hermie somewhere especially if you got a ton of seeds like it says. I would assume if you that was the case the seeds would be female since it would have came from a female plant with an isolated flower or something.

I say just plant the seeds and grow them under 18-24 hours of light. If you have femalesw artound them that you dont want to pollinate keep a very close eye on them. Perhaps they auto flower, perhaps some do some do not, or perhaps you have some female seeds or downright hermaphrodites.

Thanks for the reply, PD.

If hermie, they'd be all Citral and all Female. That's easy. I guess I just need to do 18/6 and wait. So.. if any male or any auto, I guess I have AWRxCitral. I just want to know about the auto gene, really.

I should have put this in the breeders sub-forum. If any admins on, please move?

Thanks,
