Breeding within the same AF strain

I bought AF seeds privately that wre sold as lowryder #2 X bubbleicious. They are way past harvest, only showing sex after a week of dropping from 20/4 to 12/12. Also they are not growing as I was told they would- one large main cola with minimal side branching down low.

My male AF (could be a hermie, but def a male) is sat dominant (18") while my female (12.5") is indica dominant. The sat dominant is not showing the genetics that I was expecting- it has lots of side branches.

Now some of that is due to the top breaking off, but even before that I had as much energy going into several sets of side branches as the main stalk.

Should I bother to cross them with each other?

thanks

Sounds like you got some bad genetics. Anytime you buy seeds that don't come in breeder packs or from dispensaries you kind of roll the dice. They may have been a cross of those two breeds but there was probably no quality control done. Also doesn't sound like they inherited the auto-flower genetics.

I've also heard it's not a good idea to cross brothers and sisters, but there is no way to know for sure. What the heck. Give it a try.
