Good Morning. I was talking with another RIU member & we were discussing temps dropping at night. & how its difficult to get it below 72 degrees. Aannnnd is it even needed? I read some saying if your pheno is going to halve purps or another other colors late in bloom, then it will happen regardless. So is it even necessary or even something to be concerned about? My tent stays around 77 lights on. But struggles to get below 72 lights off. I live in a hot humid area. I appreciate all the advice & the people that are here to help. - Casey

My ladies temp sit at 74’ with around 50% humidity. Living in a place with about 80% humidity it’s been a challenge. However the temperature of your grow sounds perfect. There is even some merit to the temperature not fluctuating too much. Keeping temps at around 70-78 degrees is good. Just keep an eye on humidity because of mold and pest problems. As well as stress to your plants.

Let me ask you this. Should I lower the humidity when done with seeding/young veg stage. For I have a cool mist humidifier keeping the 2x2 around 70% R.H. *I've been thinking now that a few weeks old. I should drop to 65 or 60 R.H. & keep it there. I'm still learning & about to harvest my 1st grow in several weeks. So I started a Red Mandarine girl. She seems to love the heavy humidity when young. Thx. For chattin. - Casey

I dont have an pests. & would like to keep it that way. Lol. I always dry my soil out of the bag for a week or until dry before I use in my grows. Seems to kill any gnat eggs or whatever.

My tent goes nowhere that low at night. Doubt it’s ideal but my temps lights on/lights off are between 78~82, with RH being between 41~51.
I haven’t seen any issues as a result of the temp, but again, may not be ideal

Right on. I think I'm good. It just got me wondering if you really need cool temps at night to bring out the pretty colors. My 2nd grow is Red Mandarine.. & I'd love to see the beautiful colors I've seen. Although some say genetics will make it happen. Anyhoo, I'm interested to see what some of the older cats with alot of grows would say on this matter. Thx. Again.
