Bud Density

Been searching and haven't found any solid answers... What are the biggest factors in increasing Bud density? I just finished a scrog grow of Vanilla Kush in DWC under a 600 watt HPS and while the buds are denser than my last grow (cfl), they still aren't exactly what I would consider very dense. I'm guessing genetics is a factor, but what else? My temps never exceeded 80F, there was constant good airflow, everything seemed perfect from what I know but then again this is only my second grow... Could my issue be that my scrog was TOO congested?

Do you know what the dry weight was for that crop? looks sweet. The biggest thing for really dense nug though is supplemented CO2

less humidity and lower temps = tighter buds. genetics also - more indca genes = tighter nigs. more sative genes the more airy the buds will be.

a good cure , my buds where rock solid literally and i kept them around 73 degrees after cut (IMO)

Humidty was never above 35-40%, usually it was a lot lower than that... And temps ranged from 60-80... I never run my heat in winter so it got quite cold at times... Not sure what I can do to improve on those conditions.

Thanks man... I've already got my next grow started... Going to try to pack 3 plants in 3 individual scrogs in there. 1 Fem Fruit Spirit, and 2 Sleestack x Skunk Reg seeds, so if both turn out female I'll have 3 plants in there... I just built 3 platforms with wheels to easily move the plants to manicure and test water for PH and PPM, just need to build the 3 screens that will sit on top of the buckets so I can have a moving scrog...
