I'm thinking of buying the Budbox XL (1.2m x 1.2m x 2m tall) and wondered if anyone could gimme a hand choosing which exhaust fans / intake fans etc I might need to ventilate it properly and ensure it doesn't get too hot/cold in there.
My current grow, my first, is in a boiler closet, and whilst temps are perfect, I only achieve them with the door propped open! Not ideal when the closet is in the dining room. I get blinded by the light all day and panic like a madman to switch it off when someone knocks the door! And having guests round...? OUT OF THE QUESTION! lol
Well, my plan is to setup the budbox in a small front bedroom and vent from the top into the attic (there's already a 5" hole in the celing into the attic to vent above where I plan to place the tent - looks like someone did this here before! lol). I already have a 600w light which has all the wires integrated and dont plan on spending anymore on another so a cooltube is out of the question.
I'm thinking the best way to go would be the Ruck 5" fan as an extractor (355cfm) and a carbon filter all hanging at the top of the tent to suck out the warmest air as it rises. Does anyone know if this would achieve good temps and humidity? Does anyone know of any example grow journals where similar setups have been used?
I also wondered if I would need an intake and perhaps some kind of small humidifier. Perhaps a smaller 200cfm fan connected to the the budbox airsok ( http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/details.asp?productid=1202&subcat=462&cat=353) to bring in colder air and distribute it evenly around the base of the plants.
All of your input and any example posts/threads/journals anyone can show me would be great.
Cheers!
