Budmaster Series LEDs

Is there a case to be made for the price of the Budmaster LED setups?

They're UK-made, which comes at a premium, but they still seem incredibly expensive..

Has anyone used this particular brand, and do you get what you pay for?

Below are some links to a couple of their units. The COBs are cheaper than the ODs, but most here seem to favor COBs if I'm not mistaken.

72 Osrams and Japanese COBs ain't cheap I'll give them that but, then again, I guess it also depends how many you're buying at a time . SJ IMO the answer to your question comes down to these three things; one, can you build one for less and is it worth your time to do so? Basic COB units are brain dead simple to build for the most part. Two, is this company knowledgeable enough about what you plan to do with these lights so as to make sure you make your money back, (ROI), and stand by you if something goes ass up? How's their track record in other words. And three, have you ever seen a completely bias free grow online or seen someone use these particular lights to your satisfaction? That's a biggie right there.

Are they the best? Probably not by any standards used around here. Do they work? Probably, but if a company is just pushing some lie that they're some horticulture/MMJ lighting experts but in reality are just a branch of some larger company that was solely designed to sell LEDs in whatever package works then there is no premium to be charged. Don't know if B-Master is that kind of company but I would be wary of them since they weren't the most honest company with their technologically challenged products back in the day but here they are, still in business, seemingly using quality LEDs so I don't think you can slam them completely either.

But that's all opinion SJ, not a lot of B-Master grows and owners around here for me to have anything else but one of those so ya do what ya want with it .

They don't show the part number of the COBs.
Hard to know the efficiency that way, but Cree COB is most certainly more efficient.

got a friend who has two , likes them but really i've seen nothing to write home about on his gro's
it was a wad of $$ & he's happy so i can't knock them
but awhile ago I looked @ them but settled on some mars2 , actually glad i went mars
i would have lost more $$ on the budmasters than the mars2 $
But money i spent on listening to unproven Company claims at least was less $
Did that sorta make me feel better ? No . . .
as both r not great compared to a Cree COB

I might attempt a DIY panel after completing some more research. These retail high-end setups seem way overpriced for the components used.
