Buds almost ready?

I’m really hoping my plants are close to finishing. Weather is getting cold and wet as we venture into mid October. I haven’t noticed any amber trichomes at all on any buds.

Any other way to tell when it’s ready?

I’ve added some photos if anyone can help me out with timing or advice.

They look close (and very nice), but I think another couple weeks and the buds will swell quite a bit more. The pistils are brown and shriveled, that's a good sign. At this time of year you are walking a double edged sword, you want to get the buds to swell, but at the same time, be super vigillant about rot/pm. If you see any rot/mold, then give them the habeus yankus!
