Bugs!!!

when i first planted my seeds in little styrofoam cups, there was little gnat looking bugs flying around, i thought there were just some kind of fruit fly or something, but i noticed that my seeds and 2 inch plants started growing very slow and some seeds never reached the surface :-0, i stirred the dirt around and i saw hundreds of little clear worms devouring my struggling seed and all throughout the soil, what can i do to save my plants and prevent future bug problems, can i get a a sticky tape thing or do i have to change the soil out.

Thanks alot,
-Brett

They prefer a sugary syrup in a bowl and make a bee line straight for it,mix it down with a little bit of water so it doesn't form a skin on top and they cant get out once they've got in.

Ive killed loads of them this way after getting annoyed with plastic strips and hanging fly papers stuck to my fingers and my head:evil:

If their numbers get to high the larvae will destroy your roots:blsmoke:

that syrup setup will control the parent flies but what can i do about the worms, theyve already killed half my plants, is there any chemical i can get to kill these assholes.

Flood the plants with water and stab any worms you see with a pin at the top and the bottom of the pot then let the plants dry out a bit or poison them.
I never use any poisons so dunno what you would need to do that.
If you control the parents they cant have kids:blsmoke:
