Burnt leaves

Hello guys I have a question for you. My leaves are turning brown and crispy at the ends is this a ph issue or something else? I'm using a soil that slowly releases nutrients but I've grown in it before and had no issues. Nyc diesel and vanilla kush. But we moved and my water may be higher in ph where I am now. Don't have a tester yet.

Trouble with pre bagged soil is you never know what is really in it. I would get a decent EC meter so you can at least measure the amount of salts in pre bagged mixes.
