business research-What are you paying around seattle?

I'm taking the plunge. I am filing for my business license and will be providing services to the medical marijuana community in my area, north of Seattle. Very small scale starting up. I've been reviewing what the community is being charged for meds and I find it seems to be higher than I think it needs to be. What are you being charged around Seattle/Tacoma? I know it's all "processing fees" and "membership cost" but what comes out of your pocket? I'm considering a business model that reduces or eliminates cost to my patient clients but I need some better figures.
Anyone exchanged pound wieghts to any dispensaries? What sort of fees did they pay? I have some contacts in this area but more data is better. Thanks for any help.

Prices depend on level of quality of course, commercial quality donations are approx. $ 8.00 per gram, Higher quality strains $ 10.00 per gram, Exceptional quality $ 12.00 - $ 15.00 per gram. Have seen a few strains at $ 20.00 per gram. Pound price donations are $ 2800-3200. These prices are based on my experience with 3 or 4 dispensaries in the Seattle area, from downtown to north Seattle. Hope this helps.

That is about what I've been hearing. I can beat that easily. I have another question for you all. Why do you give away your right to grow 15 plants? I realize for a lot of reasons many of you cannot grow your own but why GIVE AWAY the right to a couple pounds per month? Is it just because no one is offering to give you value for the right? I don't know. It just seems to me that you should see some consideration for allowing someone else to get the money available for processing these meds. Do you think you'd use a company that did as your exclusive provider? For most of you my business will be further than you'd probably like to travel but what if one of the local dispensaries started offering this deal? you sign an exclusive contract but your meds are very low cost (less than half at least) or free... What do you think? The general idea is to provide for my rural community and support the business aspects thru processing fes on the excess transfers to the city. My nieghbors are largely not wealthy and there are businesses making HUGE profits in the city. "I steal from the rich and give to the needy. I take a small percentage but I'm not greedy."
