Busted.....

I need some advice/help. My uncle/ partner was busted 5 months ago with a fairly big operation.. it was 1,960 plants ,60lbs packaged. It was all in a green house. Some one snitched and he was arrested by the local pd dea feds etc. He was out for 3 months no problens and then they re arrested him he is looking at 10 years to life. He is 62 years old. I no a lawyer will help but will it help greatly or not i have talked to a federal attorney he wamts 15k which i can handle but would it be worth it... tha ks in advance

Comes with the territory when running a big op. Having 60lbs packaged means you guys were some pretty decent sized ballers. At that point having an attorney on retainer before any of this happened would have probably been the best bet, Having it stashed in the greenhouse wasn't quite the best idea either.

Man I know dishwashers that pull in 15k in a year. Yes it's worth it. That's your uncle AND your partner.

If the attorney is going to fight the case then pay. If he says take the plea, I'd pass.

15k only gets you a deal, but a lawyer can actually negotiate with the prosecutor, who is only going to take you seriously when you piss him off. So that's what could make it worth it.

Well he was busted in sc and the state was paid off out 9f trouble free and clear no problems. He was busted jan 2 arresred was out on jan 4th after almost 20k was handed out. On july 14th the feds found him rearrested him cause its now a fed case. We paid the last lawyer 12k and now another 15k more they want. Thats my only prob as its also fed drug and fed gun which only guns found were a 35 caliber rifle 22 caliber rifler amd 12 gauge shot gun all had serial jumber intact. The operarion in the woods and he lives on the land so i feel the gun charges will easily be lowered as it was not assault rifles handguns etc. This is the first time he has ever been in trouble with police other then a dui 10 years ago. The pottes plants were all roughly 3 ft tall. The actual product was gone and all they got was 60lbs of smoke smoakabke,cutting shavings hash making trimmings etc . The main product was gone. I feel like the lawyer from the state case should still be handling it since its the same xase correct or am i wrong. Also the "good citizen" that seen the plants rhe green house etc the snitch also supposively seen the 400 a month electric bill and that made him "suspicious" to look into it amd the police will not let the snitchs name be known

You better hope they drop the gun charge but I don't know why you think they would.

Get a lawyer. He can fight the prosecutor at the prosecutor's level; a non-lawyer can't do that.

Tough sitch, brother. I have nothing to add that isn't 'shoulda woulda coulda' or lawyer up.

The guns thing is gonna be a tough deal. I got a strict no guns policy anywhere near me. In Colorado, the weed itself won't get anyone prison time unless there are complications- and guns are the number one complication.

If all your going to get is a plea (prison) then your money will go a LOT farther in your inmate account..

With a layer they will likely drop the weapons charge(s) since it's the lesser charge , but 60lbs expect state time

pay the lawer , He NEEDS a lawer

Honestly if your in the 'business' you better keep a lawyer on retainer , Even places where it's 'legal' have lots of legal issues

A fed case would scare me much more than a state/local case. You need the lawyer!! Make sure the lawyer has experience in fed cases.

Most good lawyers will only work federal cases of a certan type, or county cases of a certain type.

If 1 lawyer is handeling both , he questionable in my eyes

Liberty your right tbe oroginal attorney stated it is out of his hands and needs a federal attorney.

they aren't going to offer shit for a deal .. your too big.. they might take time offfffffffffff for cooperation.. but.. in all seriousness .. get a lawyer.. and fight to get less time.. I mean some states will see a 62 year old man.. no violent crime.. and say house arrest for ever lol. instead of jail..

but hey good luck .. I had this happen to a family member.. he got caught with 350 plants. and 12 lbs. and 2 lbs of oil. and they gave him 7 years. in prison. but.. the dude we got coke from.. got busted with 112 grams.. of blow. and got 5 years. you tell me what the fuck is going on with the DEA.
