C99 Mothers? And how to pick mother in veg state?

Hi I've just acquired 20 seeds of C99 F4 and I want to pick a good mother from the lot however I have never cloned before.
I was wondering what I should look for in plants to pick a good mother in general and more importantly with this strain.
I won't have room to flower all the females I will be getting so how do I pick a good mother in veg state?

If you aren't going to flower them out don't grow them all at once... Just grow however many you are willing to flower at a time and take clones from each plant before you flower it.

Label them and pick the best one(s) out of the batch, keep doing new batches of seeds to see if you can find better phenotypes.
