Calgary water (starting at 260ppm)...effects??

Hey anyone here from Calgary or live at a place where the water starts at 260ppm? I dont know what's really in the 260 ppm but anyone know how that could affect the plants?

it probably all depends on what is in your water. We have really hard water around where I live and the TDS can be over 400. I use R/O water on my plants now, but I have run a hydro system in the past with local tap water with good results.
