Hi, Is anyone using California Lightworks 200w full cycle Solar Flare LED yet. It looks kinda promisng but still fresh on the market (not sure how long it's been available) and was wondering if anyone has good things to say about it's performance yet, particularly in flowering of course. Peace.

I was offered one for $1K to reviews to 90 days and declined. This company makes LED's for a number of other company's and has been around for a while. The owner of the business has multiple patents on LED lighting too. That said, I'd follow the "paid" reviews on their web site but regarding flowering, LED's aren't cutting it just yet. Especially if you need to pay $2000 for a single light.

haven't used one but I would think it would do a decent job flowering in a 2x2 space or so. Any bigger and you may need extra units. This is based on my led grows with similar wattage units from another company.

I was considering 2 of the full cycles for a 3x6 space with supplemental T8s (4 to 6) for a flower chamber. Would a particular T8 bulb benefit flower production over any other? Trying to plan 1st indo grow. heheh. Thanx fer input.

That might do the trick. I know a lot of guys use t5s for their entire grows so I think you are on the right path. Some guys are using colored aquarium bulbs to get the spectrum specifics of led growing too. May be something you can look into.

im currentyl using the 800 watt solar storm, im doing a grow comparison comparing it to several leds. the daystar full white spectrum and the solar storm are side by side right now and are kicking som eserios ass in veg im prob 2-3 weeks away from vegging with them.

sorry i thought i answered that! your were follwoing my journal but honestly i stop posting pics after osmone said people can look up your location and have gotten robbed that way. I wish I could post pics cause these realy are doing nice!

Generally, LED's work fine for vegging......it's when you get into flowering and light penetration, that's when yield suffers greatly.

Idk well see about that in the next few weeks. The full white spectrum is supposed to be outa this world! And I have faith in the solar storm as well!

Well the best T8 grow-flower bulb was Philips Aquarelle initially made for the aquarium enthusiast.......High spikes in red and blue....amazing bulb but very hard to find(discontinued by philips 2 years ago); alot of people use zoo med line of t8....Oh and at home depot they sell philips tl850 2700k(flowering) @ 2900 lumens/32w...2 for 8.99....pretty hard to beat at that price...One grower I know uses the Philips adv850/t8/3100lm!!/32w (beats t5 in efficiency/@$5 a bulb!) 5000k straight through veg-bloom w autos and gets good results............anyways sorry for the long winded response........

thats why people recommend scrog or sog, i wonder if those 5w diodes on the solar series help penetration some

These have been out for awhile now, no excuse for "not strong enough for flower" nonsense. Other brands do as well.

The buds near the bottom get 725 umol and the top is 875 umol, limited by nutes at the moment. HID/HPS ran 950 umol on top and 400 umol on the bottom. The HGL lights totally put more light on the plants with better penetration. I use meters and measure the light, I do not guess.

yea im srogging in a 4x4 area one light in each 4x4. I have zero complaints about the 5 watt diodes. the full white spectrum is listed as a 900 watt light and pulls 750 actual watts. and the solar storm is listed as a 800 watt light and pulls 450 in veg and 550 in bloom. and right now in veg its hanging tough against the day star.
