Can anybody answer this question?

will splitting up the nutrient mix affect the ppm ratio?
for example let's say I have 10 young plants (in soil) and I want to give them 800 ppm.
So I'll make a gallon of nutrient mix with 800 ppm and give that to all ten plants. But since these plants are in small pots, they can only take about a cup or two of nutrient mix. So I'm wondering if the ppm is less than 800 for each one of those cups. Kinda like dividing 800 into 10, are they only getting 80 ppm per cup? I could be totally wrong here so any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

idon't think that your understanding what part per million actually means here.. if you have a gallon of water, you are going to have 800 ppm in it, and if you only have a cup of solution, its still only going to have 800 ppm in it.. its a ratio of how much of something you have iin a solution, in this case, your nutes and water.. it doesn't matter if you increase or decrease the size of feeding once you mix the solution, it will still only have 800 ppm in it..

It's stuff like that, that led me to lava rock and clay gravel. I mix up my res and the ferts don't build up in the rocks. I flood and drain two or three times daily, depending on the system. I have never used a meter on my fert levels. I go 1/6 of what the fertizer instructions recommend for dirt per gallon of water. I run fresh water through the system one day out of every five to seven days, depending on the system. Smaller resivoirs have to be flushed more frequently than larger resivoirs.

Always, it will be.if you mix it that way...thats what it will be.Whether you feed them a tspn. or a gall., thats what they get...........
