can anyone help?

i would appreciate any and all help as this is my first grow. i have two plants which i started from seed towards the end of last october. they are growing under two 100 watt cfls. one is about 50 inches tall and seems to have stopped growing, the other is probably close to 60 inches tall, and grows about a half inch a week. i started flowering in january and have only been giving them water since then. they are both budded with red and brown hair, the top bud on the one still growing has new buds heading toward the light. a couple days ago two of the middle buds spread out and start a three of four round shoots on them, today i squeezed one and it's a seed. can anyone tell me what i should do? i was told that stress can sometimes turn them hermaphrodite. like i said this is my first grow so i'm totally lost.

What strain are you growing?
Im guessing a sativa dominant if you have been flowering for 12+ weeks
Pure sativas can be prone to herm if they are stressed at certain stages, sometimes they can be unpredictable and decide to herm for no reason at a particular spot on the plant.
If you are very close to harvest, I would nip out any of the male seed balls and hopefully ride out till harvest with minimal seeds.
If you are saying that the plant has already produced a seed, then you may be too late as the plant has already pollinated and begun seed production. It may have gotten pollen from the other plant or possibly the same plant.

With pure sativas, you have to always keep a very close watch to prevent this ;)

If your first lot of bud comes out a bit seedy, dont let it put you off growing, it's just a learning curve, happens to all of us ;)
Perhaps next time, find a strain that is less prone to herm or research sativas a little more and eventually become a pro sativa grower!

Good luck.
Cheers Jimmy.
