Can dry nutes cause burn?

1st time grower here. Can you cause nute burn w/dry nutes? Thinking that autos need more N during the growth stage, I added a couple teaspoons of 13-7-7 fert to some FFOF, in a 2gl pot. i sprinkled 2tsp & mixed it in the bottom 3rd of pot, then filled the rest 2/3rds with straight ffof. how stupid of a move was that?

It really depends on what happened. I am imagining bad things but “what happened” is more important than “I imagine”.

Seems pretty hot to me, finally a reason for a major flushing... and yes you certainly can burn your plants up with dry nutes. How long has your plant been in that and what is its status?

Can anyone help me ? I had organic dry amendments in the soil and I thought they depleted and started to use chemical instead of top dress and they did this . I’ve flushed twice and they are growing but super fucked up and no matter if the pot is bone dry or it has water the leaves barely change. You can tell when the plant is “trying” to pray but it just won’t recover I’ve never seen this.

there’s a cpl other photos of some others in the little tent doing fine !

Not if they're organic
Probably not if used properly but you can definitely burn your plants with that just like most any other fertilizer. Be careful someone might get the idea they can just use that to grow in. :bigjoint:

My mistake for not being clear. Medina Growin Green 3-2-3 fertilizler CAN NOT and WILL NOT burn your plants. I've used this product since 1982 on orchids to oak trees, tomatoes to pomegranates and since 2015 on cannabis. It CAN NOT and WILL NOT burn your plants. I've applied it to lawns in South Texas in 105 F heat and never bother to water it in. When it rains it rains. It will definitely NOT burn your plants. As for using it as a medium, it's a fertilizer. Sorry I wasn't clear in my earlier post. I can't speak to other dry granular fertilizer, just this one.

I was just being silly about growing in it. But still if used in excess it likely will burn plants. Some people think more is better and if used in too high of amounts that will still burn your plants. The thing is that many don't follow the directions for dosage. I'm sure if used properly it will not burn anything but so many new growers of all kinds of plants use way too much of everything and too much of anything can have negative results. :peace:

You've learned the hard way, shit happens ;/. Mixing organics and synthetics is a mine field you volunteer to cross.
