Can i convert an 8" to a 6"

A buddy of mine gave me two 8" hoods but i would like to use all 6". Is there a way to convert the hoods to 6"?

yup,,,,go to a Menards, Homedepo etc and they'll have what you need. just ask a sales person for help.

Will reducing the 8" to a 6" affect the performance of the hood, or will it be just like the 6" hood of the same model and company?
