trying to flower tell me what you think

lights are 2, 65 watt cfl spot lights = 1000watt, 500 watt each

+ 6, 40 watt fouresence = 240 watt, 40 watt each

area 19"W 63"L 40"T

soon to have picture

um im not sure about this, but i would say only use the cfls the flourescence lights will do nothing but harm your plants. and the cfls you have should be enough watts for the space you have.

got em at lowes today for 28 $ very cheap and came with lights. their vertical spot lights took the balister out and made my own. got three lights two that says= 4u-65w 6500k (bb) the other says cooper r10 plf-65w 6400 found the r10 on a web site they say it makes 500w the other havent found so much for yet. so let me get this straight they only use 65w? like a little 65w wall light? if so then they will be even cheaper then the fouresence lights i was using? will have pictures soon

Did they have replacement or seperate bulbs for those 65w flouro spotlights or did you have to buy the full fixture?

How much heat do they throw? (How close can you put them to those clones?)

I tried to find those bulbs at both lowes and home depot and the largest they had was only 42w (120v equiv). I didn't want the whole spotlight fixture...

yes they sell only the bulb also but its has to go into the spot light socket because its the bigger bulb it wont fit in a regular light socket. it got to to 82 last night low was 78. and im not running an exaust fan. lights are about 6 inches away from plants.

hey man that's probably a good amount of light for your plant. i used all cfl's for my first grow (flowering at least) and used 2 24in tube Fluoro's for veg- turned out great despite several close calls and my general ignorance for the most part of it's life. ive learned. the bud grew. and CFL's are the shit. i'm jealous of your 65's- where'd you get em?

here's some pics of my box- check the light setup (i built the lights around the plant lol). PROXIMITY is the key word. keep that in mind and it looks like you're gonna have a great harvest

Isn't a poll supposed to have answers, all you have are two more questions (pretty much the same question) to your original poll question. I am confused.....

It's a bad idea to have rockwool in constant contact with water.
You'd be better off converting that to drip, wick, or other type of operation.
