Can i high too?

Hey guys, first post, first grow, been getting high off my savings, now am almost broke so am wiseing up.

My only question is as follows - I live in an apartment. Utilities is inclusive so i don't see any hydro bills. Are the building managers able to monitor each apartment?
If i was to plug in a 400 watt hps light, will this be enough energy consumtion to get my ass in trouble? I tried an experiment by plugging in a total of 150 watts cfl's for a month. 16/8. No visitors but 400 is a bit high so your input is welcomed.

I'd say that smell and heat would be your biggest concern. Considering you live in an apartment complex. 400 watt really isn't that much. For all they know you could have bought a 40" plasma flat screen.

Yes, it is their job.

One neighbor can call the manager and say your TV is too loud, you walk too loud, you fart sideways, ect...As a general rule, people are untrustworthy, douchebags that will ruin your life just so they can crack a half smile at your expense.

It is never a good idea to grow in an apartment where another persons nose can literally be less than 15ft. away from your plants. Walls do not cover smell.

Do not grow in an apartment complex!

lol, I have a 1000 watt HPS, 400 Watt MH, 9000 BTU AC, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, Inline fans/filters, cloning area, circulation fans with a perpetual grow, 1000 watt runs 12/12 all the time along with the 9000BTU AC, 400 watt runs all the time on a 18/6 schedule. My bill is an extra $80-$90 a month, no smell but I pay my own electric. I wouldn't run this shit in my 2 bedroom condo if someone else was peepin my bill.

As far as growing in an apartment. (shrug) piece of cake if you live in a place where the fire department doesn't inspect and your landlord is too cheap to spray for bugs
