Check some current posts. You’ll never convince the people believing in it. You’ll also never see any actual research results on it because nobody with an IQ bigger than their shoe size believes there’s anything to research. The believers can’t even name another crop of anything that is “flushed”.

Probably not, if they're close to harvest and healthy, the roots are probably tangled. You don't want to stress out the roots this late in flower.
You may run into problems when harvesting, you don't want dead roots hanging out with your flowering plants root system.
Next time, you should probably run clones if you're going to share res.
