Hello all,

I have 4 plants in 3rd week of flower. light (600hps) is on 9am- 9pm. Daytime temps around 76. Im in Canada and my basement is getting pretty cold at night (56-60) and I want to put the light on at night instead for warmth.

Can I change the light cycle? I dont want to cause any herm problems, the plants are looking good right now.

Are these temps way too low? The girls look good, but everybody tells me they are too cold at night. I dont want to put a heater in the tent cuz I dont have the floor space and dont really want to use more electricity.

Ideas???

Had to do the same thing myself. I just turned off the light for 24-36hrs and reset the timers to come on at night and there you go, done.

Sounds easy.....This is the first time I've had this problem with temps, hopefully if switch over I can get the new dark temp up to around 62. Is this still too cold?

So I shouldnt worry about hurting the plants by switching the cycle? I really need this crop to produce! I wont be exposing my plants to potential herming?

That is fine, you just cant give them more than 12 hours light. next time the light is about to come on, change the timer to your new schedule, so it stays dark until the new light regimen begins.

This should not cause any hermie problems.

I have always read its good for your temps to drop 10-15 degrees at night. maybe just turn your fan down or off at night
