Can I use 1000w for germination and veg ?

Hey guys, I recently purchased 1000w led from Amazon (one switch) and I'll grow my first 4 seeds.

Can I use it for germination and veg if I put it far away or I should start with CFL ?

Start with a 23W spiral CFL or 10W daylight (cool white LED bulb) 2 inches away.

I would use the CFL. Those lights, although it's NOT 1000Watts, are a little much for just starting out.

How many 23w CFL lights would I need to grow 4 plants ?

Between 1 and 1000. A lot depends on how big the plants are and how much you hope to yield

5000k led bulbs will fit the veg bill.

link your "1000W" light and we'll try to advise on what it will actually be able to cover.

no reason to veg more than you'll be able to flower
