Can I use Home Depot Heat Sink Compound for my COBs?

Hey guys I seee Home Depot sells these:

Will that work as thermal paste? If not, how many Arctic Silver 5 tubes do i need for 16 CXB3590s?? There are two different sizes of AS5 so please be specific if you can. Id appreciate it. Thanks.

That no good, use thermal pads or a good thermal paste. Here's a link to thermal pads for the CXB3590 , way easier than paste and similar performance with COBs.

Check Best Buy. They have thermal paste in stock usually.

I got mine at radio shack. Amazed when i found that besides high pressure sales and cell phones, they still carried some of the basics.
My best guess for quantity would be two tubes. .12oz or 3.5g per tube

you literally need 0.1-0.2 g/cob
