I don't see why you could't use fresh..the only difference would really be the moisture in your buds, but your putting it into a solvent that would have atleast a minimum of 1% water. So it might increase the amount of water in your oil in which would need to be removed and if not would leave behind a sizzle. Water also dissolves and washes away the Chlorophyll binding proteins and exposes the Chlorophyll to the solvent used something you probably already know...why we use 99 instead of 91 or 70... but this is probably a very low moisture content and wouldn't even compare. Other than that I can't see why not but I may be overlooking something like maybe a cure on the buds for terpenes but than again Im not a seasoned grower..I just make extracts. Thats just my two cents. Those buds look fantastic MR.Vega thats gonna make something great whatever you choose to do.

Those are some pretty damn nugs.
As far as I know you can use fresh nugs but maybe put them in the freezer to lock the moisture.

let them ladies dry, trim them up, use trim, and or, just separate the EVERYTHING you plan on going qwiso with..
id at least keep a few nugs around..
freeze be sure to follow a really good frozen technique

Yep my best tasting/quality oil is always made from as fresh of bud as possible and frozen. You can dry if you want but I know the tastiest oil will be produced from fresh...bud as long as you don't pull a bunch of chlorophyll out too.
I've usually perform QWEt but regardless lately i've been preferring my dry ice hash. About to perform some QWEt extractions specifically for my edibles though now i kinda want to make a little somethin to dab :l
check out skunkpharmresearch.com they have some good tutorials and Fadedawg from SPR is always floating around RIU, he might even chime in given it's kinda his job haha

Are most of those trichomes just plane milky or have they turned plenty amber? I've notice that if i plan on using fresh bud for extractions i let them flower a wee bit longer so the trichomes are pretty mature and the yield seems to be better.
It also depends if you want more sedative or heady oil or if you even care haha
Either way looks like you'll get some dank oil from what trim came off those buds + popcorn nugs.
