I’m guessing the smaller top matured faster than the larger top?

most likely stem or root rot. Soil looks like it needs aeration.

That is one sad looking plant. Where have all the leaves gone? The plant maybe decided it was too much to have two tops and sacrificed the weaker to allow the stronger to survive.

future refence, a plant that small wont need any defoliation whatsoever, really itd be done for airflow and when the plant is that small, theres really nothing restricting airflow.
Im curious, why even do that in the first place? What do you believe the benefit would have been?

My soil is too soil that came out of my grandmas earthworm bed. I didn’t feed it any nutrients. I wanted to go 100% organic. I fed them sugar like 2 weeks ago and I ain’t had no problems until this last week

I pulled my smaller one and I’m almost sure it’s root rot. Roots are shit brown and smell sour
